US carrier international rates

What the big US carriers charge to reach another country, read off their own pages and set beside our published card. We are not affiliated with any of them.

01The split

Two products, and people mix them up

Every carrier sells two things that sound like one. International long distance is calling another country while you are in the US. Roaming is using the handset itself while you are standing in another country. They are billed separately and the gap between them is usually an order of magnitude.

Getting the two the wrong way round is the most common and most expensive mistake in this category, so each page below says which of the two it is pricing, in every section.

02Carriers

Carrier by carrier

Carrier figures were read off each carrierโ€™s own pages on 18 August 2026 and are sourced in full on each page. Carrier pricing changes without notice, so check theirs before deciding.

03Ours

Where we fit

We are not the cheapest way to call every country and these pages do not claim to be. A carrier plan bought by somebody who calls one country every day is hard to beat per minute, and where that is true the pages say it plainly.

What is ours: rates from $0.02 a minute with no monthly fee, every one of them published before you sign up, no carrier account required, and a call that places from a browser on any machine. None of the options on these pages works unless you are that carrierโ€™s customer holding that carrierโ€™s phone.
