01 / Where it rings
A number that only rings an open tab is not a phone number.
Yours rings the tab when you have one open. When you do not, it rings your own phone, wherever that is.
02 / What it costs

A month, taken from your credit. Minutes are separate, in both directions, and every one of them is listed below.

Calling out from it
The same published card as any other call.
03 / What it will not do
Three things to know before you pay.
Not for verification codes
Banks and most large services reject numbers like this on purpose. If codes are why you want it, this will not work.
No emergency services
It cannot reach 911, 999 or 112, and we cannot tell a dispatcher where you are. Keep a phone that can.
Not a mobile line
No SIM and no data. It is a number that rings wherever you tell it to, and nothing else.
04 / Questions
Where does it ring?
Your browser, whenever you have a tab open. When you do not, we ring whatever phone you told us to, wherever it is in the world. A number that only rings an open tab is not a phone number, so this is set up before you pay rather than left as a setting to find.
Will it receive my bank's verification codes?
Usually not. Banks and most large services reject numbers like this for verification on purpose, and we would rather say so than take your money. It receives ordinary texts from ordinary people fine. If codes are the reason you want it, this is not the product.
What does it cost, all in?
$5.00 a month for the number, taken from your credit. Answering in your browser is $0.02 a minute. If we ring your own phone instead, that leg costs the normal rate for wherever your phone is. Receiving texts is free. Calling out costs the normal rate.
What if my credit runs out?
We hold the number for 7 days and warn you in the app. Add credit in that window and nothing changes. Let it lapse and the number goes back to the pool for somebody else, and we cannot get that one back for you.
Can I give it back?
Any time, in one tap, and it stops billing. The month you are already in is not refunded, because we have already bought it from the carrier and cannot hand it back.
Can I bring my existing number over?
No. Porting a number from another carrier is not something we do. You get a new number from the pool, and you choose the area code.
Can it call emergency services?
No. Not from a rented number and not from anywhere else in this product. We cannot reach 911, 999 or 112, and we cannot tell a dispatcher where you are. Keep a phone that can.
